MICROSOFT WESTERN EUROPE
SMASH YOUR TARGET

Assignment carried out while working at communication agency NoSuchCompany.

For Microsoft WE the SmashYourTarget camping was set up. Target of the campaign was to increase distributor sales of Windows 7. A box with a golden envelope inside was placed in the office of the distributors. The team would be given a sales target by their Microsoft Account Manager. The website and EDMs were used to stimulate the distributors to increase sales. Sales results were measured via Microsoft Sales data. Once the distributor team would smash the set target by selling more Windows 7, they would be sent a lock combination. With this combination they could open the box containing the golden envelope and win great team prizes! For this project I was the senior Project Manager for the Communication Agency. I was responsible for:
  • campaign concept co-ordination
  • quality assurance
  • IT consultancy
  • reporting
  • project evaluation
The results of this project exceeded expectations. It was well received within Microsoft Western Europe and the project was nominated for a Western Europe Best Practice Award.

MICROSOFT WESTERN EUROPE
PROMOTION ENGINE

Assignment carried out while working at communication agency NoSuchCompany.

At the initiative of the communication agency and its operating partner, we are currently developing plans for a promotion engine.

Via this engine Microsoft Marketing Managers can set-up promotions in an easy and cost-effective way. Through fixed steps the team will help set-up a business case and campaign objectives and get approval from all necessary departments.

Once this is done a marketing campaign will be set-up using “menu items” in a flexible and customized way suiting the campaign theme. These items include online elements, which will help reach the particular campaign objectives, such as online quizzes, claim and sales mechanisms, online training resources, e-mail marketing tools, etc. All set-up in such a way that the ROI for the objectives is measurable.

Since the processes and technical developments for this engine are reusable the engine will not only provide an effective and flexible way to launch campaigns, but will also great decrease campaign costs.
